This is the first of a series of blogs in which I will give a preview of the various aspects of the upcoming ICMCC Event.
The Monday morning has 2 parallel sessions.
Aspects of Electronic Health Records:
- Mrs. Currall will show that the use of computer generated operation notes has significant advantages over hand written notes.
- Dr. Brian Fisher will talk about the shared control for patients actively using their right of patient access.
- Prof. Quantin will define steps in the process of creating a system, similar to a search engine, that will provide patients with secure access to their medical records.
- Prof. Kun will deliver an overview of a discussion held at an IEEE meeting in Lyon (France) in 2007, dealing with improving outcomes with interoperable EHRs and secure global health information infrastructure.
- The session will be concluded with a Q&A with the audience.
National and Regional Projects:
- Sagri Sharma will talk about the developments of the C-DAC Mohali project to implement telemedicine in rural India.
- Wouter Meijer will focus on the patient’s perspective in an overview of the National Technical Agreement for Telemedicine in The Netherlands.
- Roxana Antohi shows how the PROMED platform represents an Internet access point and a web healthcare information system which provides various services for users in Romania.
- Ola Göransson will present us the fact that despite positive professional attitudes, responses to using AI and robot technology related to caring activities were generally negative in Sweden.
- Mike Popovitch will show a prototype information management system for organized population-based cancer screening in Canada.
- The session will be concluded with a Q&A with the audience.
